It’s Time to Implement a Better Security Plan
When was the last time you updated your security system?
Here are four reasons why your business should focus on implementing a better security plan:
1 – Old technology is easier to crack.
Criminals are going to love your business if you are using old technology to secure your premises. Conventional CCTV cameras that are still used widely, merely record what’s going on and offer far less protection that innovative new technologies.
CCTV is pretty much only good for viewing crimes, such as theft and vandalism, after the incident has happened. Criminals know how to get around these systems and CCTV alarms merely act as a timer, telling the criminal they have at least 20 minutes until police show up.
Verified alarms, on the other hand, have prevented criminals from getting away with thousands of crimes that would have been devastating for the businesses involved. Verified alarms have almost ZERO FALSE ALARMS unlike conventional alarms and due to their trustworthy technology police departments respond on average in just 3-4 minutes.
2 – Create a security plan that’s designed specifically for your business.
Many businesses inherit the existing security system when they acquire a new location, but this is a huge no-no. Security is complex and without a proper plan that is tailor-made to your company’s unique needs, your business will not be secure.
If you haven’t changed your security system, or have recently moved to a new location, make sure you update the building’s security solution and ensure that your new security provider creates a plan that is specifically designed for you.
3 – Protect yourself against employee theft.
Whether you are a small or large business, trusting your staff is key to a successful business. This, however, doesn’t mean you need to leave your company completely open to the unfortunate risk of employee theft.
By simply installing managed access control, your company will have an extra layer of protection without giving the impression that you don’t trust your employees. Keyless entry will allow you to protect the rooms with your most valuable assets and stop unauthorized members from simply walking around your premises.
4 – Instill a culture of security.
If your business isn’t willing to invest in new security technology, then why should your employees take the security of your company seriously? Your staff members should be your first line of defense and should be constantly striving to ensure the protection of your company.
By instilling a culture of security within your workforce, your company will ensure it is not only protected against employee theft, but staff members will also be more aware of how to protect your business against potential theft and vandalism and more willing to take action to make sure crime doesn’t happen.
