Protect Your Assets with Managed Access Control
You wouldn’t think twice about locking up your company’s most valuable physical assets. But what about assets like your intellectual property? Or even valuable office equipment and PC workstations are all vulnerable to vandalism?
A managed access control system can add an extra layer of protection over and above conventional lock and key systems, with the additional benefit of varied authorization levels to protect key areas in your business.
And with the Sonitrol Managed Access System, you’ll be able to take advantage of supervising your staff, managing security access levels, and reducing employee-triggered false alarms, with the help of our expert Central Monitoring Station operators.
How Does Central Monitoring Integrate with Access Control?
Sonitrol manages and monitors your access control system 24/7 from our Central Monitoring Station. We have the ability to keep a record of cardholders and you can go online when you like to review entry and exit reports.
This will help you view time, attendance and scheduling reports. In addition, we will be able to easily add or delete employee access levels, program scheduled locks and unlocks, and assign specific access levels to different employees, visitors or vendors. As Sonitrol systems are integrated, if a door is programmed to be unlocked and you arm up the system the door will lock. This does not happen with conventional non-integrated alarm and access systems.
The benefit of controlled access is that it gives you more oversight of your facility’s activities while saving you money and time.
With our Managed Access Control system, you’ll be able to protect vulnerable areas in your business from employee theft and fraud. Think about your storage area, server room, or accounting offices. Limiting the access to those key areas in your office or commercial site will help you reduce your risk of theft. In addition, you’ll have a record of which employees have accessed these areas during their shifts, helping you supervise your staff but also allowing you to review an access report whenever you need to.
If one of your employees is fired or chooses to move on to another position, you’ll be able to easily remove their facility access. You will also have access to their entry and exit points prior to their last day of work.
A Managed Access Control system will also prevent unauthorized persons from accessing your business. You’ll be able to reduce traffic in vulnerable areas such as your warehouse, where criminals often walk in and walk out quickly, and unnoticed, with your precious goods. It can also protect your office workstations from smash and grab criminals, or worse, violent offenders who plan to vandalize or threaten your employees.
A managed access control system is one of the easiest, most cost-effective methods of increasing security at your store, site or office.
Fully Integrated Security Solutions
Limiting entry is only part of a complete security management system.
A Managed Access Control system can be programmed to interact with all other aspects of your security system.
For example, it can be integrated with our unique audio intrusion technology to offer full protection from both internal and external threats.
Authorized individuals can use a Sonitrol Managed Access Control card to arm or disarm your building’s security system. But with Sonitrol’s unique Intrusion Detection system, your system can be programmed to automatically shut off when a designated employee enters your facility in the morning. More importantly, it will allow you to dramatically decrease your vulnerability to break-ins by savvy criminals who know how to bypass conventional burglar alarms.
Unlike conventional alarms, Sonitrol’s audio intrusion technology is sound-based – not motion-based – so when an alarm is triggered, our monitoring professionals can actually listen-in to determine whether a break-in is in progress, or whether a false alarm has occurred. This security system can also be integrated with a video camera CCTV system for additional monitoring. If there’s a break-in, we immediately dispatch police and relay real-time information to the responding officers. If it is a false alarm, we simply reset the system without bothering you or the police.
Sonitrol has the highest apprehension rate (at 71,000 and counting) and the lowest false alarm rate (just 3%) in the industry.
