    CIRC/Delaware October 2014 Luncheon Update

    Port of Wilmington Director Speaks at CIRC/DE September Luncheon

    On Wednesday, September 10, 2014, members of the Commercial-Industrial Realty Council of Delaware (CIRC/DE) and their guests gathered to hear remarks from Gene Bailey, Executive Director, Port of Wilmington and Diamond State Port Corporation. The port fuels the local economy by providing a number of well-paid jobs, in addition to housing a number of companies who import and export daily.     Sonitrol Security Supports Goodwill Industries Annual Golf Tournament

    Goodwill Industries of Delaware and Delaware County supporters gathered on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Cavalier Country Club to participate in the 2014 Golf Tournament thaat benefits the Ted Van Name Goodwill Scholarship Fund. The scholarship program is open to all whose lives are touched by Goodwill Industries.  The organization also work with established community partners and with current programs to remove barriers and provide critical support, such as career counseling, pre-payment of fees and tuition, computers and books, offering of flexible scheduling options and transportation assistance.     We hope you were able to join members of the Commercial-Industrial Realty Council of Delaware (CIRC/DE) and their guests at the Annual Golf Outing on Monday, June 20, 2014 at Hartefeld National. Over $3,000 in charity proceeds benefitted the Delaware Kids Fund. The weather was beautiful, the course was challenging, the food was good and the hospitality of the Hartefeld National staff was appreciated.     New Castle County Executive Tom Gordon Speaks to CIRC/DE Members

    Members of the Commercial-Industrial Realty Council of Delaware (CIRC/DE) and their guests gathered on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 to hear an update on New Castle County activities from County Executive Tom Gordon.     On March 12, 2014 CIRC/DE members and their guests gathered at the Clarion Belle in New Castle, Delaware to receive an update from Eileen Fogarty, General Manager, New Castle County Land Use Department.     New Jersey Sonitrol Security customers and potential customers gathered on Friday, March 15 @ Flying Fish Brewery on Kennedy Boulevard in Somerdale to tour the brewery, network and receive valuable security updates.     Members of the Delaware Restaurant Association gathered on February 26, 2014 for the 4th Annual Restaurant Resolutions Educational Symposium and Member Luncheon.  The event was held at the Deerfield Golf & Tennis Club.     CIRC/DE Members Gather for Economic Forecast

    On February 11, 2014 at the Clarion Belle in New Castle, CIRC/DE members and guests received an Economic Forecast and update from David B. Hanson, CPA, CFA, Fulton Bank Financial Advisors. [caption id="attachment_461" align="aligncenter" width="300"] Kate Wilkinson, Speaker David Hanson and Janet Dougherty - the Fulton Bank Team[/caption] This is the second year that Mr. Hanson has addressed the Commercial-Industrial Realty Council of Delaware.  Once again, his remarks were informative and sometimes entertaining. He shared a word of caution  for our elected officials - we need to start living within our means because the current levels of spending vs revenue are not sustainable much further in the future.
